~~It's Thursday!~~

Outside my window...  It's cold.  We've a bit of a wind chill so it feels like it's 45 degrees.  My house feels drafty.

I am thinking... Thinking about those ever present to do things.  I was also thinking about dust, especially the dust in my house.

I am thankful...  I am thankful for my health, my families health.  We've all been relatively healthy this year.  I am thankful for the wisdom found in the bible.  There is a verse for every situation.

Exodus 14:14
"The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace."

From the learning rooms... My student is better this week, just a bit of coughing left.  We've resumed our normal studies.  He is doing so well in Math, Science and Reading!

(this is not my student.  Thank you dear internet for the picture!)

In the kitchen...  My menu is out of order.  Tonight we're having the Mennonite chicken.  Tomorrow will either be mango and jalapeno sausages or barbecue meatballs with a cheesy noodle casserole.

I looked for my favorite chicken and apple sausages but they were out.

I am wearing...

I'm dressed.  I'm cold.

  I am creating...   I was saying earlier . . .about the ever present to-do list. . .
  • Finish rough draft Christmas Letter
  • Print Christmas Letter
  • Mail Christmas Letter
  • Finish Christmas Shopping
  • Mail Christmas to Family
  • Get into my bible course studies
  • Early spring cleaning of house
  • Organize craft stock, canning stock, tins, books, magazines
 I am reading/watching...

I have the worst time picking books in the order they are written.  I think part of the problem is the way the library stocks books.  This seems to be a good series.  The one shown is the second book.

This is the first book.

We are enjoying watching the Adventures of Young Indiana Jones.  My#2 son sure delights in the troubles young Jones gets into.

I am praying... Praying for far away family.  Praying for the desires of my heart.  Praying for my husband.  Praying for me.  Praying for my married children.

I am hearing...  The wind is blowing from the North so I am hearing the wind chimes at the back of my house.  Peaceful Christmas music is playing upstairs.  The space heater is running trying to chase away the drafts.

Around the house...

Around the house, I am enjoying my pretty little cactus.

My husband recently learned how to sell things on E-Bay.  He has a few piles around the house.  This is supposed to be helping to clean out the garage.  I think the piles have just shifted from one place to another!

One of my favorite things...
I appreciate good, clean humor.  Sometimes I just 'need' to listen to it. It refreshes my spirit.  Bill Cosby was a great one for good, clean humor.  His "Chocolate Cake" story is one of my most favorite!

 I LOVE Tim Hawkins!!

(click on his picture to take you to my FAVORITE Tim Hawkins skit)

I also watched some of Chonda Pierce on you tube the other day, she is funny too.  She also has an amazing testimony for the work Christ.

(click on the picture of Chonda to take you to the you tube of a funny skit of hers.)

A few plans for the rest of the week:  Bachelor David tomorrow afternoon.  We'll just hang out, watch a movie together.  Then I'll take him to the grocery store and home.

On Sunday Mr. Chris is coming to play Lego's with #2 son.  My manly man and I will finish up our Christmas shopping together.

Something to share...

I told you all that I went to my first ever book signing a couple weeks ago.  I finally received my copy of  The HelpMate by Gwen Hinton.  It was signed!

have a GREAT weekend!

Don't forget to enter my giveaway!!

  1. I thought about dust too, so I dusted ONE thing. Now I feel better!!! LOLFor humor, I LOVE the Skit Guys. You can find them on You Tube as well. I get to watch them on TV when I have it turned on. They are a couple of Christian guys who tell bible stories with ah touch of humor but have such a way or relating it to today!

  2. Mark Lowry is my favorite comedian! He makes me laugh until I cry. Everyone I know keeps bringing up Tim Hawkins, so I'll have to give him a try, too.

  4. I love good clean humor too. I also really like Bill Cosby.Even though they weren't christian..I like their parenting style. The kids Never won!  Tim Hawkins, Chonda Pierce...both funny too. Also funny..I too was thinking about dust! I dusted my entire bedroom yesterday afternoon...wiped down the furniture, rearranged furniture...the room was clean. This morning as the sun came in the window, my nightstand looked like it hadn't been dusted in a year!  Where does it come from???Sounds like you had a lovely day. =)
