~~It's Thursday!~~

FOR TODAY

Outside my window...  Outside my window, it's SPRING!  It's so pretty outside.  Some of my favorite blooms, the Dogwoods started blooming this week.  Dogwood blossoms remind me of the beautiful mountains of Oregon.

I am thinking... I am thinking of all things I need to do.  I'm trying to wait a few more weeks before jumping into to chaos feet first.  Cleaning, organizing patching holes.  Moving different piles of stuff here and then there.

(my to-do list)

I am thankful...  I am thankful for my salvation.  One of my favorite Resurrection songs is "He Lives"  My second favorite is "Written In Red".  I love this time of year when I can remember, with amazing gratefullness, what Christ did for me.

From the kitchen...  A quick, easy company dinner tonight.  A meal shared with Chris and Sharon before he heads to Seattle this weekend.

Chicken and Apple Sausages, Macaroni and Cheese, Green Beans with Onions and Carrots, Pistachio salad, Green salad, Strawberry Oatmeal Bars

I am wearing...  Denim Capri's, fushia colored short sleeve tee with lavender cardigan on top.  No make up, no fixed hair.  YUK!

I am creating... Working on that picture wall.  I'm expecting some photos in the mail today someday to complete that project.  I need to get a photo album to hold a huge bag of photo's that need to be put into such an album.

My manly man and I made patterns for the seat covers for the TOY-ota.  I cut some fabric to sew two sun visors. . . . .and $25.00 worth of special needles later, I can't sew them.  It's a special, waterproof fabric and the coating on it sticks to the needles.  It needs a special upholstery sewing machine to sew it.  Bummer!  So, sometime in the future, we'll be ordering a different type of fabric.

(my sewing pile.)

I am praying...  I am praying as always, for the desires of my heart.  Praying for my married children.  Praying for far away family.  Praying for my Mom, @sharolsplace.  She fell on Tuesday and fractured her knee.  She was scheduled for surgery yesterday afternoon.  I haven't heard how that went.  Praying for her speedy recovery.  She expected to be sent home possibly today or tomorrow.  Praying for our move. . .praying ahead of time for safety and protection.  Praying for the Lord to prepare that perfect place for us in San Diego.

I am reading/watching...  I randomly picked up a book in the juvenile section of the library it looked like a good read so I came home with  two books. .  .they are very good. The Case of the Missing Marquess ,The Case of the Left Handed Lady by Nancy Springer.

I am looking forward to...  We are going to Rhode Island on April 23rd to accompany my manly man on his annual, all- hands, week long, regional training.  I'm looking forward to relaxing by the pool, soaking in the hot tub, recharging my batteries before I dis-organize my entire house.

From the learning rooms...  We are at the halfway point.  We've mixed it up a bit.  We're doing one subject a day.  My student seems to like the change.  We'll be doing school work into the summer this year.  We're still really far behind.  I can't motivate my student to want to work ahead.   He'd rather play with his free time.

I have a bunch of notes of my little study of New Testament Giving.

It's been good for me to study these last two years.  I've been studying to see if what I believe about my convictions/preferences/etc are what I really believe or what someone else believed and I was taught their particular conviction/preference/etc.

Around the house...  Piles of stuff everywhere.  Dust bunnies, dust.  I think it looks terrible.

One Some of my favorite things... We've been reminiscing about some of our favorite things about San Diego.

Baja Fresh - Fish Taco's

Mariachi singers entertain guests at the Old Town Mexican Café.

Old Town - San Diego

A few plans for the rest of the week:  Dinner tonight with friends, Bachelor David tomorrow (he needs a ride to the barber for a haircut and he'll stay for dinner)  Projects around the house with manly man Saturday.

Something to share...We took Tuesday to be with my manly man on a trip to Pennsylvania to pick up his new trailer.

We drove through Lancaster County, Pennsylvania again.  The scenery is just gorgeous.  The farms are all starting to get very green.

The old, cute, little towns are fascinating.  I wish we had more time to explore.

Guess where we ate. . .again.  Shady Maple Smorgasbord.  YUM!  We also took the time to browse a few shops.  My husband got a new spring jacket for $14.99.

See the new trailer?

Leaving you with . . .  More San Diego house pictures!

I'd LOVE to live here.  13 wonderful acres.  And, I'm looking out for my man, see that SHOP?

I don't know too much about this one.  It's . . . just . . . different.

Cozy

Have a Great weekend dear friends!

  5. Your list is loooong! Your dogwoods are gorgeous! PA is a beautiful state, but I'm glad I don't live there; waaay too much rain! San Diego is calling my name! I miss it terribly; haven't been there for a few years. Old Town is always a place we stop to visit. I hope you do get the perfect place! And I hope you find the right fabric for your TOYota! You're always up to somethin' good in your kitchen!

  6. Praying for your mom. That sounds so painful. Bless her heart! That sounds painful! The dogwood tree is the state tree of Missouri. I love seeing them in bloom. Soo pretty!I love that first home! So pretty and looks like a wonderful place for someone to plant flowers and have a workshop.   The second home photo looks so interesting. The only thing I would worry about is the roofline leaking on that section to the right in the photo. Beautiful photos though!I, too, am studying to see if what I believe is what is in the Word of God or if it was someone else's opinion. It's a very eye-opening journey. I would love to hear more about your journey with this.    Love you, sweet friend!
