(preparing Kumquats for marmalade)
Just popping on here to say a quick hello and leave you with a few pictures.
We had a uneventful weekend. We worked on this and that around the house. My manly man installed a water filter under the sink. We made Kumquat Marmalade. We stayed home from church Sunday as both my 'boys' were sick with terrible colds.
I've spent the week tweaking decorations and hanging pictures. I've got a bookshelf left to organize with my tea things on it and two bedrooms to beautify.
(boxes for sale)
Other than that last little bit of decorating, The kitchen, dining room, fireplace room, office, hallway and living room are unpacked and decorated.
I've got a few of the craiglist plants left that need to be put into a flower bed or container. I've got a hankering to put some potted ferns on the patio and put out my hummingbird feeders.
(the cushions we found at Wal Mart for 20% off. Plants that need pots in the background)
We lost the backpack that held our remaining 6 weeks of homeschool. Thankfully the tests were in another bag and I'll still be able to record grades. We think we left the backpack here at our San Diego hotel. We called them and it wasn't there. #2 son is very happy I'm a bit sad as there were a few new concepts that needed to be introduced. I'm thankful for the internet, as I will look for some things on there and do a 'summer review' with my student.
Well, I'm off to shower and get going with my day.
Have a great weekend dear friends!

ReplyDeleteIsn't the main work to make kumquat marmalade is to remove the seeds? Looks like you had to add sugar?
