What's For Dinner With a Recipe!



Three Cheese Sausage and Rigatoni

12 ounces uncooked rigatoni
3 cups fresh broccoli florets
1 medium red bell pepper, chopped
1 package(12 ounce) JOHNSONVILLE® Three Cheese Italian Style Chicken Sausage, sliced(I'll be using chicken and apple sausages)
1/2 cup Italian Style salad dressing
Romano or Parmesan cheese, grated
*(I'll also be adding chunks of onion and minced garlic)

Preparation

  • 1 Cook rigatoni according to package directions in a large saucepan; add broccoli during the last 3 minutes of cooking time.
  • 2 In a large skillet, combine sausage, red bell pepper and Italian dressing; cook over medium heat until heated through.
  • 3 Drain pasta and broccoli; transfer to a large bowl.
  • 4 Add sausage mixture; toss to combine.
  • 5 Sprinkle with cheese.

Chicken and Apple Sausage Stir Fry

  • 2-1/2 cups instant brown or long grain white rice
  • 1 can (8 ounce) pineapple chunks
  • 1 package(12 ounce) frozen stir-fry vegetables
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 package(12 ounce) JOHNSONVILLE® Apple Chicken Sausage , sliced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup cold water
  • 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Preparation

  • 1 Cook rice according to package directions; set aside.
  • 2 Drain pineapple; reserve pineapple chunks and juice.
  • 3 In a large skillet, sauté vegetables in oil until crisp-tender.
  • 4 Add sausage and pineapple chunks; cook and stir until heated through.
  • 5 In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch, water, soy sauce, brown sugar, and reserved pineapple juice.
  • 6 Stir into sausage mixture.
  • 7 Bring to a boil.
  • 8Cook and stir for 1 minute or until sauce is thickened.
  • 9 Serve over rice.

  1. I absolutely love LOVE rigatoni and sausage, it's a combination meant to be. Definitely trying this out
