Outside my window~ I am enjoying my spring. Summer is coming, just in a few days actually. Time is flying by. I do enjoy the more moderate days with temperatures around 75 and lower humidity. Today is supposed to be nice and tomorrow rainy. I love the storms when they roll through. I can only imagine a home on the rolling plain or prairie, a covered porch, glass of cool UN-sweetened iced tea, and a thunderstorm rolling in. The rain we've received has been great for my grass and my garden!
I am thankful for~ Again this week, I am thankful for special friends. It seems each place we move, God has provided us great companions.
"A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly:
and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother."
Proverbs 18:24
From the learning room~ We're still reading. We need to go to the library and stock up on books.
I am still in the book of John in the New Testament. One of my assignments for my New Testament Survey class is to write out a reading schedule. Oh my! I think I am going to submit this answer~ Read the entire bible, cover to cover, before starting any bible classes.
From the kitchen~ We enjoyed a barbecue and fire in the fire pit last night. Our friends Chris and Sharon brought Chris' parents and we pigged out on hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, fruit salad, deviled eggs, cantaloupe and peanut butter pie.
I am wearing~ It's a lazy day. I am still in pajamas. I haven't decided what to do today. I want to go fishing AND swimming.
I am creating~ Over the next few days I may work on the trailer curtains. I also need to go to the craft store and purchase musical charms for a watch gift for #2 son's piano teacher. I'd still like to finish that photo album project that has been simmering for MONTHS. I may just do that in the fall after the weather turns cooler. It is good inside project.
I am thinking~ Thinking about a vacation. We are going to drive to Tennessee around 4th of July to visit family. I am looking forward to enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way and the prospect of doing some fishing in Tennessee! I am also wanting to meet some of my blog friends~ victoriantomboy and herdaddysgirl
I am reading/watching~ I haven't been doing so well picking out books from the library. Most of them are either laced with profanity or ?ex and I never get them started or don't finish. I think I had about 10 books like that recently. I miss having a good church library or a conservative public library that carries many books by christian authors.
We are still enjoying two series via netflicks~ Road to Avonlea and Emily of New Moon.

Emily of New Moon
Favorite Things~
Still water, the sound of a red winged blackbird, peaceful meadows
Around the house~ We had company yesterday so the hose is clean and dusted. Clean dishes need to be put away. Beds are clean and made up.
I am praying~ Praying for bachelor David. His knee is bothering him. He made his own Doctor appointment and is seeing a specialist for a pain in the knee. I am not sure he understands all that is going on. I am praying he will not have to have surgery. I don't think he understands he will be out of work if he has surgery.
Something to share~ I don't have anything spectacular or amazing to share with you. I snapped a couple pictures of my garden. I have cherry tomatoes and blooming jalepeno peppers. They sure love the fresh rain.
~~Have a GREAT weekend Friends!~~
