Psalms 18:46
"The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted."
Oriental Hamburger Casserole
1 1/4 pounds ground beef
1 medium onion -- chopped
1/4 stick margarine
2 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 cups sliced celery
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup sliced water chestnuts -- drained
1 (1 lb-12 oz.)can bean sprouts -- drained
4 ounces sliced mushrooms -- drained
Thickening:
3 tablespoons cold water
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
1 tablespoon LA CHOY Brown Gravy Sauce
Cook ground beef and onion until slightly browned; add salt, pepper, celery, margarine and water. Bring to a boil; let simmer 15 minutes. Add remaining vegetables; heat through. Combine thickening ingredients; add to meat-vegetable mixture and toss to blend well. Cook until slightly thickened, stirring constantly, about 1-2 minutes. Serve over hot cooked rice or chow mien noodles.
This does look good. Is it hard to make? Thanks for your sweet comment.
ReplyDeleteEasy. Check on line for other versions. I have another recipe that calls for cream of mushroom soup and soy sauce. I don't think you need the gravy sauce... I have something similar and it's called browning or something like that.
ReplyDeleteThis is like the stir fry Mom always made. With the burger and the crunchy noodles.
ReplyDeleteOh I am fixing this for dinner tonight. Thank you so much for the recipe. Yummy.
