Terrific Tuesday Recipe

Cheese Noodles

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 grated onion
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 (6-ounce) package very fine egg noodles, cooked to pkg directions (just under al dente!)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Mix together cottage cheese, sour cream, grated onion, Worcestershire sauce and garlic salt. Add noodles and place in greased casserole. Sprinkle top with grated Parmesan cheese. Bake for 45 minutes.

**This is a great and easy recipe.  It may be hard to find these noodles.  They are very fine.  Like the ones in envelopes of chicken noodle soup.  Look on the pasta isle.  I've also found the noodles need to be cooked to just under al dente.  It taste better when the noodles are not soft.

  1. Does sound good and EASY!!!! And yep-most pasta dishes-if they are cooked in the oven in a casserole, need to be undercooked. Otherwise they become mush in the oven from being overcooked.

  2. Sounds good, and I actually have some of those noodles in my cabinets! =)  Thanks for sharing.

  3. Sounds really good! My children love creamy noodles.

  4. How yummy they sound.  We do have these noodles in our Publix Supermarket!  I must try this.

  5. Yummy!!  Warm, ooey, gooey comfort food.Like your new page.
