It's Friday!

Seven Things

I was tagged by several friends to post 7 things about myself.  Hhuummm

  1. I have several pet peeves.  Want to know what they are?  Public speakers who say "Um"......a lot.  (Martha Stewart does it, the mayor of San Diego does it.)  Not pushing your shopping cart into the cart return at the store.  Chewing with your mouth open.  Bad table manners.  Cell phones.  Bad drivers.  Bad restaurant food.
  2. I'd love to explore New Mexico.
  3. I'd love to be pregnant again...I need more babies for all the names I have picked out.
  4. I want to cut my hair short and let it go white.
  5. I dream of a little place in the country all my own with a garden, some small animals and a few acres.
  6. I'd love to breed Miniature Australian Shepherds and sell the puppies...for fun.
  7. I think about going back to school.  I'd like to get my Bachelors/Masters degree in either Bible or Christian Education (correspondence classes).  I am also thinking I'd like to take some sign language classes.

  1. #5 has been heavy on my heart for a long time. I love the country and long to move out where there's elbow room, as my mama says. #7 I've been thinking about it myself. I almost feel too old to go back to school. Maybe #5 would fit me better. I love the great outdoors and animals. My dogs would have room to run and play and I would be able to have a huge vegetable garden! Love the pics of you! (((cool hugs)))

  2. I say go back to school.  I went back when I turned 50 for interior decorating.  Something I had always wanted to do and when I went to college my parents wanted me to take business courses.Living in the country sounds great too.  BTW......cut your hair, too!

  3. @oldfatgramma - I've already done my associates degree, 10 years ago, also by correspondence.  I had a great time with it.  If I took a few sign language classes, and got good enough, it would open up more ministry doors through church.Do you use your interior designing much?  I think that's so cool!

  4. @SealedbyGrace - Doesn't the country sound nice?  Even Missouri has nice countryside.  It does get hot though.  Hope your AC works soon!

  5. @betheelou - I did before I moved down here.  Hubby is a great woodworker and he helped me on a few kitchen jobs, making new cupboard doors for I think it was 5 kitchens.  My dream was after he retired from the PO we would work together.  He has no place for a shop down here.  We did do most of the work and decor in our son's house in NC.  He made a castle bed for our granddaughter and a boat bed for our grandson.    I love things like that.  BTW, I did this degree online also.  The final exam was to decorate a room in a house other than your own and send in before and after pictures as well as a written description of what was done and why.
