Menu Monday

Menu Monday

Monday~  Goat Cheese Lasagna(for #1 son as he has a fond rememberance of a meal made for us in Alaska in which we got to try this lasagna and he loved it!) Rosemary bread, green salad

Tuesday~ Chili Dogs

Wednesday~ Barbecue Meatballs, Sweet Potato wedges, Snow Peas

Thursday~ Chicken and Shrimp Gumbo with Rice

Friday~  Roasted Turkey dinner with all the trimmings    (The bachelors are coming for dinner this day)

Saturday~ Fish, Rice Roni and vegetable or fruit salad

Sunday~ Dining Out

-------------------------------------------

All is still quiet here on the home front.  We've returned to our normal schedule, which includes homeschool and lots of it!  The chicken pox is almost healed and the scabs are starting to fall off of my Spotted Boy!

The house if fairly clean after a weekend with all my guys doing car repair in the garage.  Just doing laundry today.

I am cold however and as I said before it makes me crave oowey, gooey comfort food.  I can't wait for that turkey dinner on Friday.  All my favorites rolled into one meal.

----------------------

#2 son will be celebrating his #7 birthday soon.  You know how stressful it's been around here recently?  Made even more so by organizing doctor appointments and shuttling our bachelors around.  I want to get away to celebrate #2 son's birthday.

It's pretty expensive, we may end up just finding a hotel with a pool locally...

  5. Your menu plan looks (sounds) great...yummy!  Lunch today for me was a pineapple cranberry smoothie and Greek salad.  Supper will be chicken taquitoes and wild rice with a side of grilled zucchini. The photo of the structure (above) is awesome!  Unfortunately, I am only getting about 3/4 of your blog page, but hopefully I can re-configure something soon and be able to see the whole thing.  So tell me...do you live in the same state as I...ahem, this Crayola factory, do you mean the one in Easton?  And the Cabelas and Cracker Barrel - are they the ones in Hamburg?  Are you a fellow (er, sister actually, lol) Pennsylvanian?  Blessings to you and yours - and I hope you're having a good Monday!

  6. PS:  the goat cheese lasagna sounds fabulous!  Does it also have spinach in it?  Yum!    ( Goat cheese and feta are two of the few I can actually tolerate ~ I am actually "dairy free".)  Blessings and enjoy that finger lickin' lip smackin' dish!

  7. @TheCookiePeople - We are in New Jersey.  My husband is in the armed forces and works in the BIG CITY.  I am also having problems with my page.  It will not open correctly using Firefox browser but Microsoft Internet Explorer seems to do okay, I was hoping it was problems with xanga today.I don't have any spinach laying around so it will be just noodles, cheese and sauce.  Should be interesting.  Goat cheese is a bit gamey for me to eat everyday.  Once and a while makes it seem really elegant!

  8. @TheCookiePeople - Can you view it now?  I had to change the font to something that firefox can read.  That makes it so boring looking.  Oh well.

  9. @betheelou - Hmmm, no, it's still chopped off.  Bummer!  But it's a fun mind game, trying to figure out the rest of the words, lol!  So you're in New Jersey - aha!  Okay, I won't get too excited then, lol.  I was imagining all the "almost local" places where you might be located, and was calculating how far you would be from me, lolol!

  12. I've wanted to take the boys there.  It looks great!  I wonder if MWR has any reduced tickets?  Do they give a military discount? We took advantage of free admission at Sea World on our vacation.  Cabella's and Cracker Barrel sounds great, too.  Do you know there is not one cracker barrel in our state.  It's very sad .  We did find a Chick-fil-A in SD--we love CFA!!Have a great week!  Happy back to school.

  13. @jessnboyz - There is a Cracker Barrel just over the Arizona Border in Yuma.  Next time you got to San Diego...Yuma is about 90 minutes away, there is also a great Golden Corral there in Yuma.Crayola Factory tickets are not so bad about 8 or 9 bucks a piece.  The expensive thing is the hotel/waterpark I'd love to do.  That  will end up about $300 a night!  Still not sure what we will end up doing.  He is a happy boy and would love a cheap hotel with a pool/hot tub and not be any wiser that he missed out on something great!
