I am very excited to see my son and spend some good time with him before he heads to Mississippi. He called while on 'liberty' Saturday. Both Daddy and I spoke to him. It was wonderful! My menu us subject to change. Not sure when he will be leaving for Mississippi, depends if he heads to Texas for a quick trip to see his fiancee, Maggie. We will know more when we pick him up Friday. Not sure how much I will be blogging during that time.
Enjoy the time with your son!
ReplyDeleteWow, it doesn't seem like boot camp took long...it probably does to you though! Excited for you all! Glad you get to go see him!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an impressive menu! Your family must love you!
ReplyDelete@floridayankees - Only 8 weeks. I can't wait to hear his stories. He'll be down by you!
ReplyDelete@georgene - They do. Thankfully no one is picky and they are good eaters.
ReplyDeleteThat freezer looks too full to hold anymore! Everything sounds really tasty, though.I know that boot camp seems to go by so fast; but the next part will take a bit longer: learning his work. What branch of service did he choose? Army, Navy, Marines or AF?jus'mecm
ReplyDelete@IMChurchmouse - Coast Guard like Daddy!
ReplyDelete@betheelou - Just as I clicked "send" I thought of the Coast Guard, lol. Great choice!
