The "FAMOUS" tree that got Mr. Chris and my guys stuck on . . . before they rescued the boy scouts. We brought the chainsaw out and cut this guy up for our camp fire wood!
Happy Dog
Narrow Trails
Another downed tree blocking the trail. Momma got to haul this one out of the way. . .after Daddy loosened it a bit with the chainsaw.
Navigating the HUGE puddles on the trail.
More HUGE puddles.
We rescued some more folks that were eventually, going to our campground. They were lost. . .and heading the wrong direction.
Look who I found back at camp? Anastasia and her parents came to see us! They ate dinner with us and set up a tent to stay the night. We enjoyed our first camping trip together!
I was playing with the settings on my camera around the campfire. We captured some interesting pictures!
(can you see what we see? Mr. Chris took this picture. We ate lots of BEANS this weekend! )
(I loved the spark trails on this one.)
I was up early with Banjo. We took a walk down to this field and I captured the sunrise.
Chris, Sharon and Anastasia
our camp
I love these kinds of camping pictures! Mr. Chris grabbed the camera. Told me to smile. I haven't showered in two days nor fixed my hair! Glamorous!
my hair is better here. Anastasia is showing you her teeth!
. . .and her nose!
We're feeling the LOVE!!
We're getting ready to head out in the
'TOY'ota. We're plugging in co-ordinates in a GPS so we can try geocaching. ((Geocaching is a real-world outdoor treasure hunting game. Players try to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, using GPS-enabled devices.)) This was our first time geocaching. We all HAD A BLAST! If you've not tried it, you should.
a geocach under this tree. . .see it?
The treasure. The rules are. . .take one-leave one. . .we have the sparkly ball on the left. We left a salvation tract and one of Sharon's business cards.
Anastasia is taking a break, showing my manly man how to drive!
here we are posing for you
We couldn't find the one located here. But it was sure pretty.
a hitchhiker!
Hope you enjoyed our trip with us. This may have been the last camping of the season. It got mighty cold Friday night. We had three blankets and a sleeping bag on us. #2 son had two sleeping bags. We all survived.
We sure have enjoyed being out in God's creation this summer on all our adventures!
Looks like a great trip.......I am definitely going to have to try camping or maybe it is true and you can't teach an old dog (or old fat gramma) new tricks.
ReplyDeleteI love those pictures! Y'all look like you're having so much fun! I've wanted to try geocaching. We've done letterboxing. It's similar. I would love to get a big ol' travel trailer and head out into the wild blue yonder with my crew. I want to do this before our eldest leaves home. Breaks my heart that he's grown up so quickly. Love the pics of the sun coming up, too. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a fun time!
