~~It's Thursday~~

Outside My Window~  Outside my window it's rainy and it's cold.  I think winter has arrived in NJ.  I wore my heavy winter coat twice this week.  The rain will make the leaves come off the trees even more.  If you saw my facebook page, you'll know my front yard was busy on Monday night when an out of control car drove through our yard.  He took out a road construction sign, our trash cans and hit the back fender/quarter panel/tail light area of my husbands police/work car.  The out of control car ended up two houses down and across the street.  His car came to a stop after hitting a power pole.  Would you believe, he walked away from the accident?  He did.  AMAZING.  He told the police he thought something jumped out in front of him.  We wonder if he was asleep, or his phone jumped in front of him.  It was exciting to say the least.  We do not let our young son or our dog play out in the front yard just because of the terrible traffic out there.  I was wishing the other night I would have taken pictures.  Sorry, no pictures!

Around The House~ My house is quiet and put together.  I need to run the vacuum around here and there.  We are starting to track leaves inside from the outside on our shoes.  Smelling a good candle. . .'Spice Cake' from the Wal Mart BHG collection.

I Am Praying~  May I say, I am still happy and rejoicing over two answered prayers this week.  I think it's amazing that God will give me something I've been praying for and show me clearly that he answered my prayer.

Philippians 4: 6-7  "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep you hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

I Am Wearing~  I am sporting a new haircut!  I got my sister in law to trim about 3 inches of the length of my hair and shape it a bit.

This is the look I was going for.  I definitely have to flat iron my hair for this.

My hair is super fine.  That's the pile when she was done.

wet look

straight and ready for church Sunday morning

I Am Creating~  I've been inspired to update the layout on my blog.  I may draw a picture for my blog header similar to this one~

From the Kitchen~  Parmesan baked cod, rice a roni, with garlic broccoli and maybe a pear salad

I Am Enjoying~  Several years ago I found  David Nevue music.  Overcome

I really adore instrumental piano music of any kind.  His is GREAT music.  I've asked for 5 cd's for Christmas.  Check out these links to his blog and his music page.  Maybe someday I'll get to go to a concert of his. . .(big sigh)

One Of My Favorite Things~  One of my favorite things. . .sleeping babies

Uncle Doug seems to have the magic, baby touch.  He had lots of practice with his 6 children!

I Am Sharing~  Yesterday xanga grew by two feet when my sister in law started her own blog!  Please go by and read her posts and add her as a friend!

  4. @Mysixpack - Music is a bit harder to do.  Let me see if I can find a tutorial I did for someone else and I'll message it to you.

  5. I love your blog, next best thing to being with you in person.I find myself being very weepy about Aaron leaving home for the military, reminds me of the day Ben left.  It's not a sad thing tho, but just a realization he is almost grown and very capable, and missing the little boy I bonded so closely with.   Life!!!!

  6. Your haircut is adorable, I love it. I can't believe there is no pics of the runaway car (lol). I think your Uncle needs to come work his magic touch on my son. He fights sleep something terrible..ugh!!!Hope you have a great day too!

  7. Awww, you look so cute!  And wow, the crazy driver must've been drunk or something! I'm glad you guys didn't sustain more serious damage! FALL is so beautiful back east; I miss seeing it! Oh, I, too, ADORE piano music and also love David Nevue. There's another one ...have you heard of Brian Brinks? i think that's his name. Anyway, there's so much beauty in the music world. Take care, dearie.

  8. Your hair looks great.  Rejoicing with you on your answered prayers.  I will check out your SIL blog.  I have not seen your FB.

  9. My career was in insurance claims management. I paid for lots of such accidents in the snow country of the Mid-West where we lived for 20 years. You are fortunate that no one was injured.I see you are Independent Baptist. I have subscribed to the Sword of the Lord for years. I have recently been trying to visit my roots and dug out my Scofield Bible. My wife of 55 years has been to the hair stylist all of her life, except when were were very poor. lol blessingsfrank

  10. @ANVRSADDAY - I usually cut my own hair.  It was a treat this time to let someone else do it for me.  If I cut my own, I usually have better results.  If it doesn't turn out okay, I have no one to blame but myself. Thanks for visiting my sight Frank!

  11. Ack!  I'd never cut my own hair, lol....but I love yours, think sisinlaw did a great job.  Sweet picture of brother and niece.
