~~It's Thursday~~

Outside my window...
It is chilly and sunny today.  Sitting here at the desk is very chilly.  Spring is coming eventually!!

I am hearing...   I am hearing the heater running and my little student is writing out his spelling words.

I am hoping...   Hoping it will warm up soon and I can start my fire pit without getting too muddy.

From the learning rooms...  Adding triple numbers.  Telling more time on the clock.  We did a great weight and measurement demonstration this week with things found in the kitchen.

I am thankful for... My husbands sacrifice of his time to provide for us so that I may stay at home.  His commute was 2 1/2 hours yesterday morning as there was an accident on the road.

From the kitchen...  Meatloaf is on the menu with roasted root veggies but my husband will be away tonight so I may just make a green salad for myself.

I am wearing...  Jeans with a black tee and my funky print sweater.  I put makeup on and did my hair to have one last tea and chat with my friend Alison before she moves to Virginia tomorrow.

(baby Ariya and Alison)

I am reading/watching...   I am still reading my In a Heartbeat book, about halfway finishedReading this is re-inforcing some of my beliefs on giving.  I remember the verse in Acts 20:35 . . . "It is more blessed to give  than to receive."  and Luke 12:34 "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."  (Matthew 6:19-21)

I am also reading another mystery by Jo Dereske.  I have watched several good shows this week as well that I have to give a mention to:

Secretariat  ((I must mention I was a bit weepy at the beginning of the movie because of the relationship of the main character and her father))

Father Brown

(a decent mystery movie)

Tales From Avonlea

(fulfilling my love for all things Avonlea!)

I am  praying...  Praying for the upcoming adventures of #1 son.  I am looking forward to spending a few days with him next weekend before he heads down to Mississippi and his first Coast Guard job.

I am creating...  No a thing at the moment.  I still have a really bad decorating bug.  I am not sure how I can satisfy it.  Looking at lots of pictures and doing lots of drooling.  I have decided I really like the black trend.

Some of my favorite things...

Jamba Juice 'Orange Dream Machine'

A bacon Cheeseburger from Five Guys

A few plans for the rest of the week... Shoe shopping with bachelor David on Saturday afternoon.  I already bought mine online because the store didn't have them.

((my new tennis shoe))

Something to share...

  5. I love Tales From Avonlea.  Everyone keeps talking about Secretariat, we are going to have to watch it.Five Guys, one of my favorite places.I like the picture of the kitchen you posted, I too like black. This may sound silly, but you writing about your son in the coastguard has got me thinking lately. It goesby so fast! A while back when you showed his room, it made me realize, it's only a few years, and my oldest could be leaving...=(. Anyway, I like when you write like this, it's fun to read.=)Both you and your sister..I wish you lived close to me!

  6. Have a wonderful time with our Aaron, I wish I could go with you, but my trip plans have had to be put on hold, because of $$$$ shortage.  Give him a big hug for me ok.  I love you all.

  7. @Elizabethmarie_1 - I wish I could meet all my blog friends.  I also wish we all lived on the same street!Yes time with the children goes by so fast.  I'd be a mess if I didn't have my little Sully (#2 son)  Being at home for the last 20 years, #1 son and I spent A LOT of time together.  I think we've spent more time together than my husband and I have!!  I am so thankful to have Sully we can spend our days being together.  He doesn't mind sitting close to me and letting me hug and kiss on him.  I see the hand of the Lord, giving us children 12 years apart in age!!You will still have many children at home when your oldest is old enough to leave home.  All I can say is enjoy the time together while you have it.  Do fun things, build memories!!  Never get too busy serving outside your home that you can't minister/serve the ones in your home!Love You Liz girl!!
