Anniversary 2010

~~We enjoyed a wonderful anniversary trip.  I believe our favorite part of the trip was northern Vermont.  If I had it to do over, we could have spent the entire week in that area.  It was a gorgeous trip.  The fall colors were spectacular.  My photos do not to justice to the beauty we saw.  ~~

This is an area we had a picnic. . . somewhere in New York State.

Along the way . . .

Lake Champlain

Riding the ferry to Vermont

See that teapot?

The best meal of the entire trip.  Seafood chowder, fresh baked bread and salad.  YuMMMM!

A cider mill country store.

We saw lots of covered bridges.

It was very foggy and chilly on the coast of Maine.  We didn't get a chance to stop for a bite of lobster.  Too early in the day.

Beautiful beach roses and HUGE rose hips.

More rose hips.

This was a beach full of granite stones.  It was like seeing counter top samples.  Gorgeous!

Hope you enjoyed sharing our anniversary with us!

  13. We sure enjoyed the beautiful scenery.  I don't think we'll do the drive to Maine again, but I could easily go back to Vermont for more exploring.  The fishing would be great I'm sure.  Thanks for stopping by to visit my sight!

  14. I love all the pictures but my favorites are the ones of the roads through the trees.  They look like postcards!  I also adore the pictures featuring my nephew.  He's a ham.  And I cherish getting to see pictures with my beautiful sister in them.  Need more of those!!
