Day 7

We had a good day of driving today,  370 miles total.  Aaron even got to practice an hour and a half of highway driving.  We saw a couple big mule deer with horns eating grass on the side of the road.  Coming into Edmonton, Alberta, Canada tonight we ran into a huge thunder storm with lots of rain., thunder and lightning.  The temperature feels warm but not hot.  We found some great food tonight and stuffed ourselves at Olive Garden.  We then drove over to the famous Edmonton Mall and walked around.  Because it is late Sunday evening, hardly anything was open so we just walked around a little.  We walked by the Fantasyland hotel and the picture below.  Some kind of underwater adventure with submarines and a pirate ship.  Of course for me,  going to the mall is all about people watching.  There were sure people to watch.  I have really enjoyed the countryside the last two days.  Lots of rolling hills, very green and lots of agriculture and farms.  We gained another hour today and entered a new part of the country  with being in Alberta, Canada.  Tomorrow is our last evening in Canada before crossing into the states heading for the cousins in Colorado and Missouri.  Beware all...#2 son is sooo excited to see you.

PS. All the books I have been listing are books on tape.  We love listening to them while driving.  Preaching tapes are excellent as well.   Also listening to Louis L'Amour, Zane Grey, and an old radio show about a detective called Richard Diamond.

  1. Hey Beth-Missed you today, we had 41 at services, and 18 new visitors.  There were 8 in teen class without Aaron, David, and Ethan.  It is amazing to see God working.  I'm on bedrest now, and possibly looking at inducing this week.  Things are not going well at the moment.  We'll have to see how God works things out this time around.  Miss you, and miss your singing.  Left a huge whole up front today since Lisa has pnemonia and wasn't there either.  By the way, Kaylee is singing a special in two weeks.  What a blessing.

  2. @Kodiakgal - Was thinking of everyone yesterday.  I am so happy things are going well at church.  You need to obey and BE ON BED REST.  you'd be surprised how much that will help if you obey.  Praying for everyone, miss you all very much.
