Day Three

We are in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Canada.  We traveled 380 miles today.  We got a late start this morning after all the travel we did yesterday.  The cute little cabin we stayed in last night owned a gift shop.  In the back of the shop they had a little kitchenette set up and made us homemade Belgian waffles with homemade strawberry and raspberry preserves to go on the top.  It was delicious!  We averaged 25 miles to the gallon on fuel yesterday and the fill ups were costing about $70.00.  Now that we have entered Canada, mileage is kilometers, fuel is liters,  currency is Canadian and we jumped ahead a time zone.    We saw two moose this morning.  Heard about one motorcycle couple spotting  a bear right next to the road.  Tonight we have a room for 3 and Aaron is in a cute little cabin by himself.  He got a haircut tonight and took a shower and went to bed.  We went to a pizza place for dinner and had pizza and salads.  Salads for the parents,  pizza for the younger two.  A much easier day is planned for tomorrow.  I think it is about 270 miles until the next overnight stop.  Friday is the day we are excited about.  We will be stopping for a dip in the hotsprings.  Lodging for friday is a hotel with a waterslide into a pool, #2 son is looking forward to a swim!

Thankfully the only thing we ran into today was bugs!  The weather was warm.  The skies were clear.  It was a beautiful day!
