Any Plans

Well ladies, what are your plans for Mother's Day?  Does your family keep things as a surprise for you?

My family keeps no surprises.  I almost had breakfast in bed for my birthday, but the smoke alarm went off and scared the dog who burst into my bedroom to seek refuge in his crate!  It woke me up!

I was thinking that maybe I'd like to go to IHOP and have pancakes for Mother's Day.  I would also like to have a windchime for my back patio.

What are the plans around your house?

  1. I have asked for a picnic. ((if it dont rain!!)) Outside of that, they kinda keep me clueless. However I have asked for things to go outside in the yard around my swing. Brett has already bought me a shirt that I fell in love with at the Goodwill!

  2. As I am not a mother, (other than to a kitty and dog), we will celebrate Mother's Day with my husband's Mom.  Probably we are going to my sister-in-laws for brunch or bbq.  I will stop at the cemetary and pay my respects to my mom, who I miss terribly.  I can't believe it's been 4 years. I love your idea of IHOP> Have a blessed Mother's Day.

  3. We are going to a new church that our friends have planted and then to have lunch.

  4. Well my mother passed away 14 yr. ago.  My children, except Susan are spread over the east coast so I guess I have no plans.    Lately, holidays, yes even Mother's Day, has been very low key.  Our moving down here to watch Matthew for Susan while she works has been a bone of contention with our sons and their families.    I guess we will be going to the NH to see Will's mom.  (it's a Sunday thing)

  5. I'm hoping we'll go out for dinner on Saturday b/c Tim's flight is early Sun morning.  I'm in the mood for Olive Garden--yummy breadsticks and salad.  #1 Son has been working on a project for me this week--I'm curious to see what he's up to.

  6. @jessnboyz - I love Olive Garden as well.  I have been craving my Rosemary Bread too!  We tried going to Olive Gardn here once on the weekend, it was crazy busy!

  7. Hubby always works Mother's Day, so it's never made into a big deal at our house. Before mother in law passed away, we used to go to her house after church and Dad would barbeque. Yummy! I got an early Mother's Day present this week, a rolling bag to store all my Cricut stuff in. Very cool.
